Fossil – 2007 Year End Multi-Well Joint Venture

Louisiana & Texas

Sold Out, Drilling operations have already begun!
Fossil Oil & Gas, LLC announces its Fossil–2007 Year-End Multi–Well Joint Venture. This exciting diversified drilling program has acquired an interest in two (2) Prospects that are located in Louisiana (Calcasieu Parish, LA) and the other eight (8) are located along the Texas Gulf Coast (Lavaca County, Victoria County, Brooks County, and Jefferson County).

Fossil estimates that these 10 wells will encounter reserves to the JV’s working interest up to 37.7 Billion Cubic Feet of Gas and 770,000 Barrels of Crude Oil. Drilling will range as deep as 11,000’ to 4,300’ in depth. The average well will be drilled to 8,220’ in depth looking to encounter both natural gas and crude oil.

All wells will be drilled in 2007 with an estimated year-end write-off of 70% - 75%. The 1st well, Fossil-Thibodeaux #1 has been drilled and completed and tested 770,000 cubic feet of gas per day as a New Gas Discovery

Fossil – Horelica #1A-ST Re-work

Cooley Gas Field

Fort Bend County, Texas

Sold Out, Enhancing Production & Producing!

The Horelica #1A-ST (sidetrack) Well was drilled in 1999 by Patterson Drilling Company's Rig #28. The well incurred completion problems during the hydraulic sand facture procedure in the target zones relating to the existence of a fault in close proximity to the well bore. The well produces natural gas and condensate but the productive zones appear to be "tight" and have produce only marginally without a full hydraulic fracture treatment of the productive Meek sands. To date, this well has produced in excess of 100 million cubic feet of natural gas and 4000 barrels of condensate (oil). Initially, this well was scheduled to be plugged by the previous operator (Virgin Oil Company). Fossil acquired a new 3 year lease from the mineral owners, sold and assigned a 50% working interest in this well to each the Fossil-Salinas #1 Joint Venture and the Fossil-Call Oil Field Joint Ventures.

Fossil's petrophysical and geological consulting engineers made a complete evaluation of the completion procedures and events that were experienced by the Horelica #1A-ST well's operator. They also performed an electric log formation evaluation and estimated that the Meek sands in this well have the potential to produce significantly if a successful hydraulic fracture could be applied. The log analysis also discovered possibly two new potential gas zone in the Upper Wilcox (11,200') and (12,100’) which appears to be productive. Currently, a re-completion procedure is scheduled in the 3rd Quarter, 2007 by Fossil Oil and Gas Operating, L.L.C. to isolate and test the three sets lower perforations. This well is currently producing gas, oil, and water.

Fossil – Dobbs Ranch Joint Venture

Lavaca County, Texas

Sold Out, Drilled, Completed & Producing!

The Dobbs Ranch Prospect is located in Lavaca County. A 3,500’ well is planned to test the Frio 3000’ Sand that exhibits a classic gas signature on 3D seismic. The prospect is a 34 acre amplitude anomaly located adjacent to a down-to-the-north fault. Although this is a typical stratigraphic trap, faults often serve as conduits in the migration of natural gas. A number of similar stratigraphic traps are located near the Prospect. The Test well will be drilled on a turn-key contract, pipelines are convenient. (Click the links below to view the Daily Reports and Photo Gallery!)

Sold Out! Drilled, Completed & Producing!

The Bernard Bend Prospect is located in Wharton County, 1.5 miles northwest of Hungerford, Texas. A 5,700’ well will be drilled to test the Frio 5000’ Sand that exhibits a classic gas signature on 3D seismic.

The drillsite is situated at Bernard Bend on the Forgason Ranch surrounded on three sides by Bernard Creek. In the old days many discoveries were made using “creekology” or the conformance of present day creek and river patterns with ancient underlying geologic stream patterns and structures. This will be the case at the Bernard Bend Prospect if it results in a discovery.

Barham # 1 well is located 10 miles north of Lake Charles, in the Gillis-English Bayou Field - II, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. The target was the Upper and Lower Hackberry Sands in an area of prolific gas and oil production. Hackberry production in this field has averaged 833,000 BO (barrels oil) and 4.75 BCF (billion cubic ft. gas). Extensive 3D seismic control, similarity to nearby production and a direct hydrocarbon signature provided this opportunity to discover significant oil and gas reserves. This well has produced both natural gas and oil and Currently being completed in another zone. Click below to see Daily Reports and Photo Gallery links.

Fossil – Cooley Gas Field Joint Venture

Fort Bend County, Texas

Sold Out, Drilled, Completed & Producing!

Fossil Oil and Gas Operating, L.L.C. has drilled and set production casing on a deep gas well (13,000’) on the Horelica 130 acre tract near the town of Wallis, Fort Bend County, TX. It has taken Fossil nearly three years to acquire this very valuable mineral lease.

The Fossil - Horelica #2 well is located in the southwestern part of the Cooley Gas Field discovered in 1983. It is a direct offset to and contiguous with ConocoPhillip’s Gallia Gas Unit. Of the 40 producing gas wells in this field, only a handful of wells drilled were not originally drilled by Phillips Petroleum.

Fossil Oil & Gas Operating, LLC commenced drilling the Horelica #2 well in late Fall, 2006 and finished drilling the well at the end of the year. The company made the initial completion in the 2nd Qtr of 2007 which is now hooked up to Trunkline Gas Company’s interstate pipeline system. Shoreline Gas of Corpus Christi, Texas is purchasing the gas and Dorado Oil of Corpus Christi, Texas is the oil purchaser.

Fossil – Salinas #1 Joint Venture

Cologne and Coletto Creek Field Area

Victoria County, Texas

Sold Out, Drilled and Completed!

Fossil Oil & Gas, LLC has acquired excellent quality 3-D seismic proprietary data over a 10 sq. mile area in Victoria County along the Texas Gulf Coast. Fossil's team of geological and geophysical experts has seismically defined a number of braided/fluvial channel sands. The oil and gas traps are stratigraphic controlled by high amplitude anomalies in addition to substantial subsurface data from surrounding wells in the Cologne and Coletto Creek oil and gas field areas (near Victoria, Texas) resulting in the generation of the Fossil - Salinas #1 well as one of several 5000' Frio/Miocene wells to be drilled in 2005. Fossil's petroleum engineers believe that the Salinas #1 prospect is an opportunity for accredited private investors to discover significant reserves of oil and gas for their portfolios. The Salinas #1 well is 3000' from the recently drilled, completed and producing Earp #1 well. The latest news is that the Railroad Commission of Texas approved the Rule 37 Exception allowing the Salinas well to be drilled 114 feet from the NW lease boundary to specific Frio sands. Engineering and 3D seismic studies indicate that this new location will enhance our chances of encountering our target sands. Fossil commenced drilling operations early January, 2005 when Arrowhead Drilling's Rig #5 arrived on location. The well was logged and completed (production casing set) and tested several gas sands that were encountered. The Salinas well was hook-up to a gas pipeline in the 2nd Qtr, 2005. The Salinas Joint Venture also owns a 50% working interest in the Fossil Horelica #1A-ST (sidetrack) well in the Cooley Gas Field, Ft. Bend County, Texas. This deep Wilcox gas well is being re-completed in a new potential gas zone early in the 3rd quarter, 2007. This Joint Venture also owns an interest in the recently drilled and completed Horelica #2 well in the same field.
